Cole Associates Civil Law, PLLC, known for excellence in and out of the courtroom, represent individual plaintiffs and defendants in trial courts throughout New England and elsewhere in cases involving a full spectrum of personal and business issues. We bring cost-effective and innovative, “out-of-the-box” solutions, often with arbitration other forms of alternative dispute resolution. We employ the combination of a practical and reasonable sensibility together with a high degree of training and diligence; we are as prepared for the courtroom as we are for complex settlement negotiations. We pride ourselves on effective strategies, thorough preparation and, perhaps most importantly, understanding the client’s goals and objectives.

Owning a business is fraught with legal decisions, and starting one is no easy task. Whether you have an established business or are just starting one, an attorney can help you understand the rights you and your business are afforded. An attorney will also inform you of the responsibilities you owe to your employees and customers to avoid liability. Business law covers business organization, contracts, sales, employment, and more.

Team Members

Cole Associates Civil Law, PLLC helps our business clients resolve a wide range of business and financial problems. We practice before all federal and state courts in New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York representing a wide variety of business interests including telecommunications companies, fraternal corporations, warehousing and trucking companies, gun makers, landlords, retail stores, and many more. We regularly handle contractual disputes, ranging from straightforward commercial collections to sophisticated litigation involving complex business transactions across a wide spectrum of markets and commercial settings. We pride ourselves on innovative and cost-effective solutions, including the use of arbitration and mediation when appropriate, but, when litigation is necessary, we bring the tenacity, aggressiveness, and experience needed to handle any business or financial dispute.

Unlike many Concord and Manchester firms who are retained to represent governmental interests, our practice regularly brings lawsuits against the state, cities, and towns in state and federal courts. These lawsuits often allege violations of constitutional rights and federal laws, takings, tax abatement, and land use and zoning litigation against governmental entities on behalf of individuals and businesses. In one instance, we successfully represented the interests of 44 wolf-hybrids whose very lives were threatened by the local municipality.

Family law issues are extremely personal, requiring an attorney’s appreciation of the significant, long-term impact upon one’s family and property. Whether confronted with the pain and uncertainty of divorce, the struggle over child custody and child support issues, the intricacy of business valuation, the complexities of asset division, the enforceability of prenuptial agreements, the determination of appropriate alimony, modification of a standing order, or any of the other many concerns faced during and after divorce, Cole Associates Civil Law, PLLC works for effective, enforceable solutions. We are proud to offer flexible, customized legal services to accommodate our clients' needs — and their budgets. Where possible, we seek to avoid litigation, and we have negotiated and resolved complex and stressful problems by well-planned strategy, realistic expectations, and with vigorous advocacy of our clients’ interests.

The United States was built on the ideology that everyone has certain inalienable rights. These rights are protected by the U.S. Constitution and federal and state laws. At Cole Associates Civil Law, PLLC, we use a combination of strategic counseling, strong advocacy and diverse legal experience to help our clients protect their civil rights.
